Meet our Founder

I started this business because I truly believe that clear, consistent bookkeeping is one of the most powerful tools a small business owner can have—and I’m passionate about helping people feel confident and in control of their finances. I was born and raised in Houston, and moved to the DFW area to attend Texas Christian University, where I earned my degree in Math Education. I spent several years as a teacher, and during that time I discovered how much I love helping others understand complex ideas in a way that makes sense. That passion eventually led me to pursue my MBA from the University of Texas at Arlington, where I deepened my knowledge of business and finance—and realized how much I enjoy supporting small businesses behind the scenes.

As a small business owner myself, I understand how overwhelming it can feel to juggle all the moving pieces. That’s why I created Balanced Books by CJ—to offer professional, reliable bookkeeping services that make your life easier and your business stronger. I take pride in providing accurate financials, helpful communication, and a personalized approach to every client I serve. If you ever need help beyond bookkeeping, my husband, Dalio Losch, is a CPA and seasoned tax professional who’s just as passionate about helping small businesses as I am. He’s been in the tax world for years and has built a strong network of trusted professionals. While I focus solely on bookkeeping, it’s nice to know I can always point my clients in the right direction if tax questions or needs come up. Having him in my corner—and in yours—is a huge bonus.
